In a distant future, snow covers the land with the sky greyed with colors. A few snowflakes fall upon a large monolith that peers over the land looking down on all things. The technology involved is beyond our current comprehension, but we know something amazing must lie beneath.
A young man in his early 20’s finds that others treat him as simple and not worthy. “They think they know me, but they really don’t”. This thought becomes a whirlpool. Eventually, as they have always, always, in all ways, looked down on him, he drifts into a cold dark place. His light, being pulled thin by the pit he sinks into, begins to wither from existence. Feeling suffocated with the loss of himself, he leaves home hoping to find others who wont judge him so harshly. He does not get far before the darkness becomes so great that he can no longer move. As he stands there, he closes his eyes and takes a deep breath. He then looks up at the sky and begins to feel a calm come over him. He glances into a window and sees himself in the reflection as a light snow falls around him. He does not recognize himself. Suddenly he realizes that “Maybe I don’t know”.
lyrics
Was walking along
Thinking about
You're always so cold
Think that you know me
There's no doubt
You're judging me wrong
You're judging me wrong
You think its alright
It's gone on too long
Think that you, think that you, think that you
You don't know
Should of known better
It's not that simple though
You think
You think its simple though
You think you know me
But you really don't
You don't know
You don't know
You don't know
You don't know
Not fooling me long
See in your eyes
You're not worthy
And it goes on, and on, and on
Cause maybe
You can't see me
You always
You always
In all ways
Looking down on me
Always
You always
Looking down
See right through me
Should of known better
Should of known better
You think I'm simple though
You think I'm simple though
You think you know me
You think you know me
But you really don't know
You don't know
You don't know
You don't know
You don't know
Was walking along
Thinking about
You're always so cold
Imagine
Imagine
You see me
Know me
But you
Always
You always
In all ways
Looking down one me
Always
You always
Looking down
Looking down
Down
See right through me
Should of know better
Should of know better
You think I'm simple though
You think I'm simple though
You think that you know me
You think that you know me
But you really don't know
You don't know
You don't know
You don't know
You don't know
You don't know
You don't know
You don't know
You don't know
Maybe I don't know
